Located in the rolling hills of Fellowship, Kimberden is an equestrian center with a resort setting appeal. A short distance from the World Equestrian Center and Hits, it is also home to the University of Florida Hunt Seat Equestrian Team, a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association.
Kimmie Carp, a Kimberden associate who also gives carriage tours, gave me a brief overview of Horse Country Trading’s unique boutique-style shop. The shop started as a storage unit – but due to its success, manifested into what it is today, with additional square footage added!
You have to love the idyllic, peaceful setting – moss-draped oaks, as well as moss-filled topiaries residing close to this quaint cottage-style shop, surrounded those enjoying the equestrian lifestyle. A young girl brings her Percheron out for a stroll while dogs play in the barn parking area. The back porch of the store overlooks a schooling area and lush landscaping.
Inside is a gift-givers dream with horses and the equestrian lifestyle being the subject. From apparel to Florida coastal style decor, they offer something for everyone who loves horses. Their mantra for both is, “Specializing in nothing you need, just everything you want!”
